Baby dresser: Before pictures

My parents brought down the baby dresser that I want to use for our baby. It was new when my mom was a baby, back in January of 1948. So, when we use it for our baby in February of 2008, it will be almost exactly 60 years old.

It was the baby dresser my mom used for my brother and me too. Since those days, it's been in their laundry room, holding a bunch of antique clothes and costume supplies (it was never hard to find a Halloween costume in our house!).

Anyway, it's structurally in wonderful shape and I think some sanding and some paint will make it beautiful again.

The front of the dresser.

The lovely 1970's drawer liners.

The inside of the hanging section.

The top of the dresser, covered in vinyl because the finish had been ruined many years ago when it was used as a tool chest by my uncle.

Wish us luck finding time to work on this project! At least we're starting early.

I can't wait to see the finished product. It will be beautiful. It looks very well constructed - very solid. Cherri
